Lesson Planning & Course Design

We're working towards creating clear, precise and innovative lesson plans using the principles of course design and materials development. We will also look at the way ICT tools can be incorporated into our lesson plans through the activities and materials we create. This is the blog where participants in our session will hold discussions.

In this session we will be reading, discussing and reflecting on theoretical and practical aspects of Course Design which can guide us to effective lesson planning. This blog has been designed as the place where participants will post their comments and reactions to the readings assigned each week. Group discussions will be lead in this blog.

Thinking about our classes

reach goal
Have you ever had a course with two classes where you used the same lesson plan?.  Is there any occasion where you got to class and everything was perfect, just the way you wanted it to, and then  you went happily into the next class and disaster!  Can you think of the reasons why?  Was it your plan? the class? the environment? or you?? Tell us about it....

Oh yes, of course.
It last happened to me some 3 weeks ago.
But luckily, it was vice versa - in the first class I tried hard to make students fit my plan, and I found it so difficult to do.They were too much talkative (not in English, unfortunately), needed a lot of practice and enjoyed one of the easy listening exercises so much that I had to play the cassette twice.

And then, two days later, the same topic in a diffrent group - everything went sooooo smoothly...
Yeah, practice makes perfect:)

I just wonder which group remembers the topic better...
